On August 8, CTK Seraphims will be having a rummage sale of books, vases, and frames. Monies made will help pay for the YM & Confirmation specializations. Please stop by and support our youth.

The 2010 International Festival is soon approaching, May 1-2, 2010.  This year we are adding a rummage sale to our festival.  We are looking for anything and everything from books, clothing, appliances, furniture, etc., that are in good condition. Items can be dropped off on Sunday, 4/25/2010, in the School Hall, after each Mass or during the week either at the Parish Office or the School. 

You still have time to buy your drawing tickets ($1.00) for a chance to win a 7-day vacation to Hawaii or a 7-day cruise to Mexico or $500 in cash.

Father, in every generation you provide ministers of Christ and the Church. We come before you now, asking that you call forth more men to serve our Archdiocese in the ministerial priesthood.

Give us priests who will lead and guide your holy people gathers by Word and Sacrament.  Bless us with priestly vocations so that we can continue to be a truly Eucharistic Church, strengthened in our discipleship of Jesus Christ, your Only Son.

Raise up, we pray, men who are generous in their service, willing to offer their lives and all their gifts for your greater glory and for the good of your people.

After a long and careful process, evaluating all the nominations for Pastoral Council membership, I have selected a Council I believe will help guide me in achieving the mission and goals of Christ the King Church.
The new Pastoral Council members are:

Carmen Archila, Maureen Binder, Marie Chen, Rosario Garcia, Ian Hagan, Roger M. Lindmark, Marleny Lopez-Ortega, Marianne Muellerleile, Marco Morais and Aggie Sanzone.

Please join me on May 31, 2009 at the 10:30 mass when I commission our new Pastoral Council Members.

I would like to inform you that our parish secretary, Veronica Dionne, will be retiring on July 31st. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Veronica for all the assistance she has given to me and the parish for the last 10 years. She has been working here, before my arrival at Christ the King, when Msgr. Al George was pastor. She has worked and dedicated herself to our parish for a total of 22 years. I want you to join with me in wishing Veronica blessings, prayers, love and support as she moves through the next phase of her life. Her last work day is July 31, 2009. I would like to invite you to celebrate a thanksgiving mass for Veronica on Sunday, July 12th at the 8:30 A.M. mass followed by a reception in the hall. Please make an effort to accompany her on this special occasion. Meanwhile, keep her in your prayers and thoughts.

Words of Pope John Paul II 
“I give thanks to the Divine Providence that I have been enabled to contribute personally to the fulfillment of Christ’s Will, through the Institution of the Feast of Divine Mercy. I pray unceasingly that God will have Mercy on us and on the whole world”.

To observe the Feast of Mercy, we should:
1. Celebrate the Feast on the Sunday after Easter;
2. Sincerely repent of all our sins;
3. Place our complete trust in Jesus;
4. Go to Confession, preferably    before the Divine Mercy Sunday;
5. Receive Holy Communion on the day of the Feast;
6. Venerate  the Image of The     Merciful Jesus
7. Be merciful to others, through our actions, words, and prayers on their behalf.
