The Southern California Congress of the Divine Mercy will be held at Christ the King Church in the Parish Auditorium at 627 N. Arden Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90004
The theme of the Congress: “CHRIST, THE KING OF MERCY”
“He desires everyone to know this before He comes again as Judge. He wants souls to come to know Him first as King of Mercy” (Diary 378)
Most Reverend TADEUSZ KONDRUSIEWICZ, D.D., Archbishop Metropolitan of Minsk-Mahilyow, Belarus will preside our Congress. Archbishop Kondrusiewicz stressed that “the present-day world, which is rotting morally, needs salt to save itself from spiritual decay. That is why we must be the light that shines in the spiritual darkness of our world. We must be the salt that will save the world from moral decay and will add the saving taste of Christianity to it.”
His Excellency Bishop TEODORO C. BACANI, JR., D.D. will be our guest Speaker.
Bishop Teodoro Bacani is bishop emeritus of the diocese of Novaliches, Quezon City, Philippines. He teaches sacramental theology and ecclesiology at the University of Sto. Tomas and Loyola School of Theology, Manila.

The Image of Merciful Jesus has been blessed by the Holy Father John Paul II on April 30, 2003 during a special audience in the Vatican. Holy Father John Paul II – The Great Pope of Mercy placed His signature on this Image.
The Divine Mercy Congress at Christ the King will also honor Blessed Fr. Michael Sopocko, Confessor and Spiritual Director of Saint Faustina. Fr. Michael Sopocko will be beatified on September 28, 2008 in Bialystok City of Mercy, Poland.
Come! We invite you to the Divine Mercy Congress to affirm our faith in Jesus with our fellow Christians. As God’s Servant Pope John Paul II said to us: “Christ is calling you. The Church needs you and expects great things of you”.
